What to Expect Working Together:
The Details—Without the Overwhelm
Therapy shouldn’t feel like a mystery, especially when you’re already managing a high-stakes life. Whether you’re curious about how I practice across 43+ states, how to navigate out-of-network insurance, or what a 75-minute couples session actually looks like, you’ll find the answers here.
I’m a big believer in transparency and zero surprises. My goal is to make the process as seamless as possible so we can focus on the work that actually matters: your growth. If your question isn’t covered below, feel free to book a call.
The Essentials of Online Therapy Across 43+ States
-
Yes; it is. I’m authorized to provide telepsychology services across state lines through PSYPACT.
PSYPACT allows licensed psychologists who hold an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) credential to legally and ethically provide telehealth services to clients located in participating states. This ensures that your care meets professional standards, follows state regulations, and remains fully compliant; no matter where you’re logging in from.
In other words, you can focus on the work we’re doing together, not the logistics behind it.
-
That’s completely okay. As long as both states are among the 43 states where I’m authorized to practice, your care can continue without interruption.
This works especially well for working professionals who travel, clients with more than one residence, or anyone whose schedule isn’t tied to one location. Whether you’re logging in from home, a hotel, or between trips, therapy can remain consistent and seamless; no need to pause sessions or start over with a new provider.
i’ll simply confirm your location at the start of each session and keep moving forward together.
-
Out-of-state therapy is simple, secure, and designed to fit real life. Sessions take place through a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted telehealth platform, which means you can attend therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable and private; your home, your office, or any quiet space that works. (And yes, I’ve done sessions in closets, and a parked car)
There’s no special software to download; just a stable internet connection and a device with video capability. The goal is to make therapy feel seamless, confidential, and as close to in-person care as possible, without the stress of commuting, long waitlists, or worrying about who might see you.
Understanding Fees, Insurance, and Privacy
-
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. Many of my clients intentionally choose this "private pay" model because it offers greater privacy (no diagnosis required for your permanent insurance record) and allows us to guide your care based on your goals, not insurance limitations.
-
Yes. I accept HSA and FSA cards. I can also provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) upon request, which you can submit to your insurance provider to see if you are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies widely, so I always recommend calling your provider to ask about your "out-of-network mental health benefits."

Who This Practice is (and isn't) Designed For
-
I specialize in working with high-functioning, high-achieving adults and couples who are motivated for growth but feel stuck. This includes medical professionals, dual-career couples, and leaders who are used to "holding it all together." If you value insight, accountability, and practical tools, we will likely work well together.
-
To ensure the highest standard of ethical care, my practice focuses on outpatient psychotherapy. This is not an appropriate fit for situations involving active substance dependence requiring detox, active suicidal intent, or ongoing domestic violence. If you are in crisis, safety-focused or in-person care is essential, and I am always willing to help guide you toward higher-level resources.
-
Yes. I also provide Premarital Counseling for couples looking to build an intentional foundation, as well as mental health consulting and speaking for organizations. I speak on topics like burnout, relational intelligence, and navigating transitions for high-performing teams.
Strengthening Connection & Rebuilding Trust
Navigating Burnout, Trauma, and Life Transitions
-
Individual work with me is for the person who is "successful" on the outside but feeling the weight of it on the inside. Whether we are using CBT for immediate relief or EMDR to process deeper trauma, my approach is active and collaborative. We don’t just sit with the problem; we work toward a version of you that feels more integrated and less "on edge."
-
This is a common question. If the primary distress is coming from your relationship dynamics, couples therapy is often the best start. However, if you’re navigating personal burnout, a history of trauma, or a sense of being "stuck" regardless of your relationship status, individual therapy provides the dedicated space you need. Sometimes, doing your own work is the best thing you can do for your partnership.
-
Yes. A large part of my practice is dedicated to medical professionals, caregivers, and leaders. I understand the unique burden of being the one everyone else relies on. We focus on boundary-setting, processing secondary trauma, and moving from "survival mode" back into a life that feels like yours again.
Relational Intelligence for Organizations and Leaders
I believe that employee well-being goes beyond physical health. My consulting services take a holistic approach, addressing the mental, emotional, and social aspects of well-being. I will work with you to develop strategies that encompass areas such as stress management, work-life balance, emotional resilience, interpersonal dynamics, and overall happiness at work.
Resilience in the Workplace…
-
I translate clinical insights into actionable strategies for high-stakes environments. My keynotes and workshops typically focus on Relational Intelligence, Navigating Professional Burnout, and The Psychology of Leadership Transitions. I aim to leave audiences with more than just "inspiration"—I give them a framework for mental and relational resilience.
-
I work with organizations, medical groups, and leadership teams that recognize that their people are their greatest asset. My consulting is designed for teams that want to improve their internal culture, reduce “burnout” related turnover, and foster a deeper understanding of how human dynamics impact their bottom line.
